Victorian English Bone-Handled T-Corkscrew, c. 1880–1900
Victorian English bone handled T-corkscrew, circa 1880 to 1900
A finely made late-Victorian English T-shaped corkscrew, unmarked as typical for the period, featuring a turned bone handle with ringed decoration and a baluster-turned steel shank. The corkscrew is fitted with a hand-forged open helix round-wire worm with a sharp pointed tip, designed for clean penetration and secure extraction of natural corks. Elegant and well balanced, it represents a quality domestic table corkscrew of the period.
The original side brush is missing, however the bone handle is free from cracks and the corkscrew remains in very good condition overall, showing only honest wear consistent with age and use.
Circa: 1880–1900.
