Shipping policy
-
Processing Time
All orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or public holidays.
-
Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates
Shipping charges are calculated and displayed at checkout where standard courier services are available.
Please note that certain antique, oversized, fragile, unusually heavy, or specialist-delivery items cannot always be accurately calculated automatically at checkout. Shipping costs for such items may vary depending on packed dimensions, weight, destination country, delivery location, packaging requirements, and courier limitations.
Certain objects may require custom packaging, pallet freight, crating, white-glove delivery, or specialist transport services. In these cases, Esteemed Antiques reserves the right to provide a separate shipping quotation prior to dispatch.
Complimentary shipping may apply on selected qualifying orders above €250; however, this does not apply automatically to oversized, exceptionally heavy, or specialist-delivery items.
Customers are encouraged to contact Esteemed Antiques prior to purchase for an accurate shipping quotation, particularly for furniture, large-scale objects, or international shipments.
Estimated delivery times for standard shipments are generally between 3–5 business days, excluding customs clearance and international transit delays.
-
Shipment Confirmation & Order Tracking
Customers will receive a shipment confirmation email once the order has been dispatched. Tracking information, where applicable, will be provided and may take up to 24 hours to become active.
-
Customs, Duties & Taxes
Esteemed Antiques is not responsible for customs duties, import taxes, tariffs, VAT, or any additional charges imposed by the destination country. All such charges remain the responsibility of the purchaser.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that purchased items comply with local import regulations in their country.
-
Damages During Transit
All items are carefully packaged to the highest possible standard.
Esteemed Antiques is not liable for damage or loss occurring during transit once an item has been handed to the shipping carrier. If an item arrives damaged, customers must contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide clear photographs of the packaging and damage so that we may assist in initiating a claim with the shipping provider where applicable.
-
Shipping Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information at checkout. Esteemed Antiques cannot be held responsible for delays, losses, or additional shipping charges resulting from incorrect or incomplete address details supplied by the customer.
-
Delays Beyond Our Control
Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to customs processing, carrier disruptions, weather conditions, strikes, public holidays, or other circumstances beyond our control.
-
International Shipping
International delivery times may vary significantly depending on destination country, customs procedures, and local postal services.
Some countries may impose restrictions on antique, ethnographic, wooden, ivory-related, organic, or culturally sensitive materials. Customers are responsible for verifying import restrictions prior to purchase.
-
Lost or Missing Packages
If a shipment appears lost in transit, customers should contact Esteemed Antiques promptly so that we may assist in investigating the matter with the shipping carrier.
-
Shipping Insurance
Shipping insurance is optional unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Insurance costs, where applicable, are the responsibility of the customer and may be quoted separately prior to dispatch. Esteemed Antiques can obtain insurance quotations upon request.
For items valued above €250, shipping insurance is strongly recommended due to the rare, antique, collectible, or irreplaceable nature of many objects offered for sale.
If a customer declines shipping insurance, Esteemed Antiques cannot accept responsibility for loss, theft, or damage occurring after the item has been transferred to the shipping carrier.
