This substantial open bracelet is attributed to the Senufo cultural region of northern Côte d’Ivoire and neighbouring areas of Mali and Burkina Faso. Its circular body carries bands of incised geometric decoration and a prominent raised zoomorphic motif. It was probably worn as personal adornment; any protective or amuletic function remains unconfirmed.

The bracelet was individually produced using the lost-wax casting process and subsequently incised and finished by hand. Its varied patina, softened decoration, surface wear and minor casting irregularities are consistent with age and handling. The “HH 2” collection mark and documented ownership history give the piece additional collector relevance.
