TG 2.78 Early 19th-Century Continental European T-Handle Corkscrew, Hand-Forged (Circa 1820–1850)
A finely preserved early 19th century Continental European
T-handle corkscrew, dating to circa 1820–1850.
The corkscrew features a hand-forged iron worm with pronounced taper and pointed tip, fitted to a ribbed wooden transverse handle secured by a central metal collar.
Unmarked and hand-finished throughout, it reflects small-scale, pre-industrial workshop production characteristic of the period before the widespread mechanisation of corkscrew manufacture.
