A British registered open-frame corkscrew designed by William Arthur Willetts and registered 26 August 1922 under Design No. 692,453. This example incorporates a fixed guiding bell, rectangular open frame, cast T-handle with integrated crown cap lifter and wire-cutting hook. The worm runs centrally through the frame and bell, stabilising vertical extraction. It represents a late development within the English bell-frame tradition, combining multi-function utility with simplified mass-production casting.

The body is cast steel or iron with original nickel plating. Plating shows even age wear and oxidation spotting consistent with use. The worm is straight, properly centred and retains a defined point. Minor rotational play at the spindle typical for the pattern; structurally tight. Bell intact and undamaged. Fully operational.
