A solid cast brass bangle of annular form, attributed to the Akan cultural sphere of West Africa, most likely Ghana. Such bangles functioned both as personal adornment and as indicators of status and wealth, and in some contexts could also serve as portable stores of value. The restrained form, with subtly modelled ridges and a continuous circular profile, aligns with established West African metalworking traditions.

The object has been produced using the lost-wax casting technique, evident in the slight asymmetry and surface variation. The exterior shows linear decorative bands and areas of wear consistent with prolonged use and age. The patina is deep and stable, with encrustation and handling marks supporting authenticity. Comparable examples are held in museum collections and have appeared in the market with similar attributions, making this a credible and collectable example.
