Three English two-piece champagne taps illustrating related late Victorian and Edwardian mechanisms. TG 2.39 is a finger-ring Holborn-type form derived from Edwin Wolverson’s registered 1877 design. TG 2.38B has a ribbed round handle, while TG 2.35 has a compact two-finger T-handle and is stamped H ★ R. Each was inserted into the cork as an assembled tool; the handle and central piercing spike were then withdrawn, leaving the hollow threaded tap and regulating valve in position.

All three retain their removable spikes, threaded tap bodies and regulating keys. The nickel plating shows age-related wear, tarnish and local surface loss, while the black-painted wooden handles display rubbing, chipping and exposed wood, particularly TG 2.39. The mechanisms appear complete, but pressure-tight operation has not been tested; collector display or careful demonstrative use is recommended.
