A Swiss watchmakers Jacot tool, or tour à pivoter, used to support and finish the small pivots of watch wheel arbors and balance staffs. The adjustable frame bears an oval DL ★ PP mark and is stamped SWISS. Its fitted wooden case has a drawer containing four pivot burnishers and polishing tools, together with other accessories. All the photographed contents accompany the set.

The frame combines cast brass components with machined steel working parts and screw adjustments. The metal shows age-related wear and oxidation; the case and lining show wear and staining. The presence of the fitted case and four finishing tools makes this a useful comparative set for collectors of historic watchmaking equipment.
