A substantial copper-alloy anklet attributed to the Senufo cultural region of Côte d’Ivoire, formed in the distinctive open “boat” configuration with strongly upturned terminals. The asymmetrical decoration is particularly notable, combining three raised transverse bands with a cluster of five spherical bosses on the opposing section. Comparable examples are documented as anklets and as objects associated with portable wealth and exchange in the region.

Individually cast by the lost-wax process, the anklet displays irregularities consistent with hand manufacture and an established surface of brown, reddish and localized green patination. Wear, oxidation and surface variation are consistent with considerable age and handling. Its unusual asymmetric treatment distinguishes EG 184 from the more regularly decorated examples commonly encountered within this Senufo-attributed form.
