European T-Handel Corkscrew ... Possibly French, Circa 1800 to 1830

The off center worm was hand wrapped before precision tools existed. Its lightweight iron shaft shows subtle forging irregularities, not machine symmetry. The curved wooden handle is purely functional, worn smooth through long use.
Free of maker’s marks and decoration century.
