Heavy penannular currency bracelet attributed to the Igbo–Ibibio–Cross River cultural region of Eastern Nigeria, West Africa. The bracelet is formed from two metals — copper and brass/bronze — forged together in a spiral band, a construction seen in regional trade metal traditions. Squared terminals and geometric panel engraving correspond with documented Nigerian manilla types used as portable wealth, adornment and ceremonial payment.
