Continental European Direct Pull Corkscrew, likely French, Circa 1790 to 1830

Hand forged with a slender iron shaft and an off centre hand wrapped worm. The curved handle is made from dark horn, finished with pale bone end caps. Lightweight, unmarked, and shaped purely for function rather than display.
