A solid cast brass bracelet of circular form with open terminals, attributed to the Akan cultural sphere of present-day Ghana. The substantial rounded body and flared terminals are consistent with West African adornment forms, where such objects functioned as personal ornament and markers of identity and social position.
The bracelet is cast using the lost-wax technique, visible in the soft surface transitions and minor casting irregularities. A small applied decorative motif and linear texturing enrich the otherwise restrained form. The surface shows even wear and a stable patina, indicative of handling and age. Examples of this type are collected for their sculptural clarity and their place within established West African metalworking traditions.
