An attractive Victorian cellar-key corkscrew of cast metal construction, combining the functions of a cellar key, corkscrew, and crown-cork remover within a single implement. The decorative openwork bow displays an elegant scrolling design with triple-knop ornamentation, while the key bit incorporates a practical crown-cork removing feature.

Of particular interest is the corkscrew worm, which differs from the standard worms commonly encountered on cellar-key corkscrews of this type. This example is fitted with a finely formed speed worm. Whether this was fitted during original manufacture or represents a period replacement following damage to an earlier worm.
Regardless, it contributes to the individuality of the piece and reflects the practical working lives of such tools, which were frequently repaired and maintained rather than discarded.

Circa 1890–1910.
