A composed strand of Venetian millefiori glass trade beads combined with later phenolic resin elements, accompanied by an Akan cast brass bracelet from Ghana, West Africa. Such bead strands reflect long-standing trade networks between Europe and West Africa, where Venetian glass beads were widely circulated and integrated into regional adornment traditions. The inclusion of a cast brass bracelet aligns with Akan metalworking practices, where personal ornaments serve both decorative and social functions.

The glass beads are lampworked and moulded with characteristic millefiori patterning, showing surface wear consistent with age and use. The phenolic resin beads (Bakelite/Catalin type) likely date to the early–mid 20th century and were incorporated into the strand at a later stage. The brass bracelet is produced using the lost-wax casting technique, with visible casting seams and surface patina. Overall condition is stable, with signs of handling and age appropriate to ethnographic and trade objects of this category.
