Late Victorian English accordion (concertina) corkscrew manufactured by Heeley & Son under Weir’s Patent No. 12,804, dated 25 September 1884. Of robust riveted steel construction, originally nickel plated, with a fully articulated scissor-frame mechanism allowing smooth vertical cork extraction. The corkscrew features a circular suspension ring, fixed bottle collar, and two folding side blades. Notably, both sides are identically stamped “Heeley & Sons Makers, Weir’s Patent 12804, Patent
25 September 1884,” confirming originality and licensed manufacture. Plating is worn, consistent with age, otherwise complete and mechanically sound.
