An unmarked example of the Magic Plants Patent straight pull corkscrew, produced in England during the early twentieth century. Manufactured with a cast nickel-plated bow handle incorporating an integral guide collar, the design centres the worm during insertion and provides stable operation. The patented construction represents an important stage in the development of compact mechanical corkscrews.

This example retains its original nickel-plated finish with honest age-related wear and a well-preserved steel worm. The worm remains straight with good definition and the corkscrew is fully usable while also being suitable for display in a specialist collection.
