A Lobi-attributed copper-alloy bracelet from Burkina Faso, distinguished by a probable python motif modelled in relief against repeated geometric ornament. Serpent imagery occurs within the metalworking traditions of Burkina Faso, although attribution of individual examples requires caution. The bracelet was probably intended as personal ornament, with the smooth undecorated inner surface providing a practical wrist-facing surface.

Cast by the lost-wax process, the geometric decoration forms an integral part of the casting rather than being subsequently incised. The corresponding open ends indicate that the object was probably originally a continuous closed bangle, subsequently cut or broken at a single point. Surface wear and patination are consistent with age and handling. Provenance from the Egon Guenther Collection adds particular interest for collectors of historic West African metalwork.
