For Sale - Novelty "Rugby Legs" Folding Corkscrew, Enamelled Metal & Steel, United Kingdom, c.1980–1995

This novelty folding corkscrew is a modern interpretation of the classic "Leg Pull" mechanical design, depicting the legs of a rugby player. When opened, the legs separate to expose the steel worm, while the folded form creates a compact pocket corkscrew. The design derives from the famous late-19th-century "Leg Pull" novelty corkscrews but represents a modern enamelled sporting variation intended for the collector market.
The enamel decoration remains attractive with light handling wear consistent with age and use. The steel worm appears straight with a good point, the pivot functions correctly, and the corkscrew opens and closes smoothly. Marked "U.K. DES. REG. PAT. PEND." on the central steel section. Suitable for both display and continued practical use.
