Multi-function folding sportsman’s corkscrew knife manufactured by Harrison Brothers & Howson of Sheffield and dating to the late Victorian or early Edwardian period. The knife incorporates a direct-pull folding worm, spear-point advertising blade, folding button hook, removable tweezers and dual-bore shell extractors marked “Sheffield 12” and “Sheffield 16” on opposing sides. Fitted with jigged stag-effect scales and nickel silver mounts, the construction reflects the traditional Sheffield sporting and agricultural utility knife pattern intended for field and pocket use. The spear-point blade carries the retailer inscription “John Odell / Farmers Friend,” adding commercial advertising interest to the standard production form.

The corkscrew remains straight with good point definition and retains practical functionality. Blade action remains serviceable with expected age wear, light surface marking and honest handling evidence throughout. Jigged stag-effect handle scales remain intact with stable pinned construction and minor age-related shrinkage. Nickel silver fittings display normal surface dulling and handling wear consistent with period use. The button hook, shell extractors and removable tweezers remain present, with tools showing moderate opening resistance but no major looseness observed. A sound and complete collector-grade Sheffield combination corkscrew knife suitable for careful continued use.
