Miniatures of this type were intended for small bottles, including medicine, perfume and sample bottles, and represent compact adaptations of the traditional straight-pull corkscrew.\u003cspan class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchor\"\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBoth examples display age-related wear and oxidation. The bone handle has natural toning and surface marks; its suspension ring is absent, although the metal attachment remains. The wooden handle has handling wear, surface marks and a retained suspension ring. Its worm terminus appears blunt or shortened.
