One side of the handle refers to \u003cstrong\u003eJames Lunderman \u0026amp; Co. Limited, 5 Exchange Street, Manchester\u003c\/strong\u003e, while the opposite side advertises \u003cstrong\u003e“BIG BEN SCOTCH”\u003c\/strong\u003e. The levers are marked \u003cstrong\u003e“6006”\u003c\/strong\u003e and \u003cstrong\u003e“A1 PATENT”\u003c\/strong\u003e on both sides. These two-sided commercial markings give the corkscrew additional relevance to collectors of advertising corkscrews, breweriana and patented mechanical bar tools.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe early corkscrew is complete, with its wire helix, cylindrical bottle collar and articulated lever assembly present. The bronze-painted finish is extensively worn, with oxidation and surface marking consistent with age and use.
